5. SKYWAY

The Skyway Project inSharjahis seen as a way to resolve traffic congestion in the emirate. The project—which involves suspending pods that can carry up to four people across an elevated corridor—is 80% complete while phase two development is underway. These pods will be used for cargo transportation and eventually, they can carry more than 80 passengers. The project runs from Sharjah Airport Road to University City Road covers 2.8km and can be used for cargo transport. Since there are no concrete structures involved in the construction process, it ultimately helps save costs and make the project environment-friendly.
